FAQ

  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION: “HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?”

It all began with a simple idea:
capturing love the way it deserves to be remembered.

Steven started photographing weddings in 2012, blending technical skill with an eye for emotion. Mary brought her creativity, organization, and heart into the business. Together, they built a team committed to serving couples with excellence and genuine care.

Today, Shuttersteve Photography & Films Inc. continues to grow — now serving Calgary, Banff, Canmore, Edmonton, Red Deer, and international destinations — while staying true to the same values that started it all: passion, storytelling, and meaningful connection.

  • How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Most couples book 8–18 months in advance, especially for peak months like June–October. We accept bookings on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner you reach out, the better your chances of securing your date. Last-minute bookings are welcome depending on availability.

  • Do you offer both photography and videography together?

Yes — we specialize in combined photo and video coverage. Many couples choose our team because we work seamlessly together, ensuring consistent style, smoother coordination, and a more cohesive final gallery and film. You can also book photography-only or videography-only options depending on your needs and budget.

  • How long does it take to receive our photos and video?

Our standard turnaround time for both photos and wedding films is 14 working days.
Every final gallery and film is professionally edited, color-graded, and delivered through a secure online link. Rush delivery options may also be available depending on the season.

  • What happens if the weather is bad or something unexpected happens on the wedding day?
